Mission

Friends of Community Media is a non-profit corporation serving the Kansas City area devoted to citizen participation in the media. FCM encourages media to be responsive to the community and promotes diverse racial, ethnic, gender, and minority group participation in all media. FCM also promotes programming and media coverage which is often under-covered or ignored and supports democratization and diversity in the media.

FRIENDS OF COMMUNITY MEDIA BYLAWS
Voted on and approved by membership 3/28/07

ARTICLE I.--OFFICES

Sec. 1. The principal office of the Corporation in the State of Missouri shall be in the County of Jackson. The corporation may have such other offices, either within or without of the State of Missouri, as the board of directors designates, or as the business of the corporation may require from time to time.
